2017 - Day 3 - Shark tooth island

Shark tooth island is narrow. I was standing at water line on one side when I took this. You can see the water on the other about 12 get from the tent. A lot of plastic trash on the island. Will collect what i can tomorrow before I push off.

About my blog

I've loved fishing and being on the water since I can remember. In 2016, I started a voyage to paddle\fish\camp the Intracoastal Waterway from Alexandria,VA to Key West, a week at a time over many years. My kayak is named "the Fishhugger," hence the title for this blog.

In addition to testing my limits and having an amazing adventure, this journey has another purpose: to raise awareness about the problem of plastic pollution in our waterways and oceans.

This blog is to help me document the journey and share some of what I love and learn...and yes, I learn the most from mistakes -- about fishing, kayaking, camping, and life -- on my adventures.
